
CHECK OUT THE PIX IN THE PHOTO GALLERY!RBB presented the Cherry Capital Con LIVE ART JAM on Sat., March 20th at 7 p.m. to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. OVER $800 RAISED for MS!Saturday, March 20th RBB will be hosting the Cherry Capital Con LIVE ART JAM. What's a LIVE ART JAM you ask? Well, it's when we have artists create artwork on site during a set amount of time.RBB will be hosting four to six local artists who will be creating original artwork right before your eyes! You'll also have an opportunity to bid on these original pieces during the Silent Auction. Proceeds from the Silent Auction will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The art that is created will have a comic book theme to it...so get ready to break those Spiderman piggy banks all you comic book geeks! The activities will start at 7 p.m. with a brief introduction of our artists and then it's time to get your art jam on brothers & sisters! We are asking for a $5 donation if you wish to bid on the artwork. A small donation for the bigger picture of helping those that suffer from MS. Thank you REAL ROCK 105.1 & 95.5 and Classic Rock the Bear for the help getting the word out! RAWK ON! FEATURED ARTISTS Mike Klinglesmith: Fan of pop culture, freelance graphic designer & artist. Also, a TC native. Matt Topping: Born in the "Zoo" - Kalamazoo, MI, but now lives in TC as a Barista. He is a fan of comics, movies, music, Batman, and his pug, Basil. David Johnson: Founder & president of the Northern Lower Michigan Beard Assembly. He currently divides his time between developing independent film projects, playing bass guitar in his band The Life and Death Brigade, watching movies and fabricating dental restorations. He attended Kendal College of Art and Design. David does NOT enjoy long walks along the beach, is generally a crank and started going bald at age 24. He is currently working on a plan to erect a bridge across Lake MI. Curt Neeb: The visual arts have always appealed to Curt. He's always loved comic books and comic art. That will never change. His wife, himself, two cats, and 1000+ action figures reside in Interlochen. Curt is never without a supply of Guinness and there's always a wide range of music at his fingertips. I love good cigars, good friends and good food. Courtney Kirsch: She is only 20 yrs old and a free lance artist in TC. Courtney is a TC Native and currently attends Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids. She prefers to work in pencil and inks. Her interests include video games, art and history. Darrell Carlisle: He was born in Southern Indiana, but now lives in TC. Darrell is a retired Powerplant Control Operator of 30 years. He works in all forms of art including sculpting and does it just for fun. Tim Umstead: Lives in Mesick via Orlando. He has been pencil sketching since he could hold a pencil. |
